Working Families Party of Oregon Endorses Roy Kaufmann for HD18

Silverton, Ore. -- Oregon's Working Families Party has voted to endorse and cross-nominate Roy Kaufmann for House District 18.

"I'm grateful to earn WFP's endorsement," said Kaufmann, a registered Independent. "Oregon's Working Families Party has proven itself to be a team of fighters, going to the mat to get the health care, education, housing, and public safety that Oregon's working families deserve. I'm proud to have their energetic support!"

One of WFP's planks of the platform is the creation of a state bank, an issue Roy strongly supports and will fight to make a reality.

"It's time for Oregon to take a page from the good folks of North Dakota and establish a state bank, to support Oregon's small businesses and family farms and keep more of Oregon’s wealth in Oregon, rather than going to New York or Abu Dhabi to pay for a billionaire's yacht maintenance, Kaufmann added.   

The Oregon Working Families Party, a minor political party, uses fusion voting, which allows the Party to cross-nominate candidates from major parties if they support WFP values and issues.
